A sustainable, progressive development of Rowan

Rowan Zorilla's laid-back, free-flowing style and ability to adapt to almost any environment have helped reshape how future generations think about skateboarding. With this in mind, Vans partnered with Rowan to create the Rowan 2, an evolution of his first signature skate shoe with upgrades in style and function to help Rowan push the boundaries of what's possible. Drawing inspiration from vintage classics, the Rowan 2 features ImpactWaffle technology—a combination of Vans' dual-density impact cushioning and SickStick rubber that provides exceptional impact protection without compromising board feel.

• IMPACTWAFFLE: The ImpactWaffle™ technology has been further developed in the Rowan 2. It has been extended further into the forefoot of the shoe for even more impact protection without compromising board feel.
• SICKSTICK: The Rowan 2's SickStick™ rubber cupsole features a zonal tread design in the forefoot for increased grip and board control, with a reverse waffle tread pattern at the heel to increase the shoe's durability.
• DURACAP: Exposed Duracap™ on the upper for maximum resistance to wear and tear.
• INSOLE: An additional layer of 98% recycled foam has been added to a molded midsole for added comfort.
• ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIALS: The upper is made from recycled and natural materials, including leather, suede, organic cotton, and recycled PET polyester. Vans leather products support responsible manufacturing through the Leather Working Group.

The Rowan 2 was designed with sustainability in mind and meets the requirements for the Vans Checkerboard Globe logo. When you see the Checkerboard Globe logo, you know this product follows strict design and material guidelines aimed at reducing our environmental impact. At least 30% of these products are made from one or a combination of recycled, renewable, and/or regenerative materials.
